We have had several unique consignments in our past few auctions, especially in our June Marvels of Modern Music auction. A plethora of punk rock rarities hit our auction block, so see for yourself what our consignors had to say about our sales:
Jeff Gold – Consignor
RR’s leading lot in our Marvels of Modern Music auction was a Prince demo tape consigned by Gold. This demo landed Prince his first-ever contract with Warner Bros. Studios when he was just 18 years old – the beginning of a legendary career. Gold discovered the tape in the personal archives of music executive Russ Thyret, who signed Prince in 1977.
“I wanted to thank you all for your great effort on behalf of my Prince tape,” wrote consignor Jeff Gold in an email sent to RR Auction’s staff. “I was thrilled with the result, and very happy with the publicity.”

The Ramones were the big stars of this auction, and ending the auction period in a top five spot was a blue Mosrite personally owned by Johnny Ramone. The guitar ended the night with a final price tag of $28,875.
“Thanks again for guiding me through this entire process and making it as easy as possible,” said the consignor of the Mosrite. “I’ll definitely return to RR if/when I have more to offer.”
Andrew D Gore – Consignor
Andrew D Gore has been a longtime consignor with RR Auction. In this and previous auctions, Gore has trusted RR with several Ramones pieces from his personal punk rock collection. However, this auction marked a first for both Gore and RR, as Gore entrusted us to sell his treasured creations – stained glass artwork from his latest project, “The Church of Punk Rock.”
“I really appreciate all of your help and educating me. Everybody took extremely good care of me, and always had my best interests first and foremost,” said Gore in an email to our dedicated staff. “Again, thanks for guiding me along on this journey. I understand the workings of this auction world a lot better thanks to you.”
