The Ramones

Music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine put it best when he declared the Ramones “set the blueprint for punk”. With twenty-two years of nearly non-stop touring, the influence of the Ramones changed the landscape of American punk and rock music forever.

Our buyers are eager to memorialize that excitement and devotion by paying top dollar for incredible Ramones memorabilia, such as punk rock legend Johnny Ramone’s stage-used Mosrite Ventures II guitar. “Played at almost 2,000 shows… The white finish has seen significant wear, accumulated over the years of constant use. It’s signed on the back: “Johnny Ramone, My Main Guitar, 1977-1996,” according to a description of the instrument from Guitar.com. WCVB 5 disclosed that the winning bidder wished to remain anonymous. Going for an astounding selling price of $937,500, this nearly doubled RR Auction’s original estimate of $500,000.
