This year marks fifty years since I started RR Auction. It’s hard to believe. Back in 1976, I was a kid in Boston with a love of collecting and no real sense of where it would all lead.
We recently had the privilege of showing a remarkable group of Einstein portrait lithographs at The Vilna Shul in Boston. Seeing the collection together for the first time — including a rare signed “Per aspera ad astra” inscription — was unforgettable. The auction takes place December 10.
President Andrew Johnson's handwritten manuscript making the national day of mourning for Abraham Lincoln sold for $34,999, and many others sold with remarkable results at our Fine Autographs and Artifacts Featuring Civil War and Abraham Lincoln.
William Morris's finest book, Kelmscott Chaucer, sold for $68,750, and many others sold with remarkable results at RR Auction's Fine Autographs and Artifacts Auction.
Around this time, parents are prepping their children to head back to the classroom. But for RR Auction, September means a month of great events and exceptional items.
